MIRROR HOUSE Q8

Kuwait has these wonderful things which we can enjoy. Kuwait is a fantastic country full of huge amounts of creativity and culture however much of this is overlooked and missed out on by the vast majority of Kuwait's inhabitants due to the fact that there is limited awareness about these things.
The Mirror House Q8 is one of these wonderful places generally missed out on. It is a home that was refurbished to have mosaics on the ceilings, walls and floors.
Make sure to visit the website and shoot us a message if you get the chance to go embrace this wonderful experience.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT'S IN YOUR FOOD?

The majority of the population are unaware of the dangerous chemicals in their food. Not only is fastfood dangerous but it includes harmful chemicals such as butylated hydroxyanisol, olestra, azodicarbonamide, formaldehyde and arsenic. Many people have never heard these names and lack the insight of what these chemicals do to you. Shockingly, 80% of packaged foods in the United States contain chemicals such as formaldehyde and arsenic. All of these chemicals pose large threats to our health increasing the risk of cancer, tumors, asthma, iodine deficiency, infertility and neurological disorders like autism. These chemicals are hard to avoid however, there are ways to avoid them, eat less fast food, avoid canned foods and don't intake food dyes. Please consider these dangers the next time you have the thought to go out to eat. Not only is fast food dangerous as it exposes you to the possibility of obesity when eaten too often but it also exposes you to these risky chemicals so please, save youself. It's so simple.

Laziness and Cramming

Ask yourself, have you contributed your average 4.6 pounds of trash today? On average a person in the United States produces 4.6 pounds of trash each day. This produces 230 million tons of trash each year from just the United States.
According to Kuwait Times in 2014 Kuwait created a fine against litter for 500KD for each offense.
The amount of litter in Kuwait is overwhelming and it is due to the laziness of Kuwaits inhabitants as the cram their trash into rediculous places.
When visiting Kuwaits marina I recognized that some people had shoved their garbage into this cement carving. How far are we willing to
go just because we are too lazy to take 10 steps to the nearest trash can?
According to an article by Mail Online, it is estimated that in 100 years Climate change due to the burning of garbage and greenhouse gases released because of it. We must lengthen the time we have.
Take your extra 10 steps. Together we can lengthen our time. Stop being lazy, stop cramming and start saving our world.

STRAYS IN DANGER
The Kuwaiti governemnt does little to control the stray population and limit the abuse.
One man when discriminated for harming strays on social media reacted saying, "We were attacked by many people on social media for stabbing, beheading or mutilating the stray dogs." This just goes to show how much suffering strays go through for just simply being strays. Despite any laws that may be in place to try to preserve these animals they suffer a lot of abuse and need homes. There are organizations that work to help these poor suffering animals with little food and no homes however they can only reach out to some. We need you to help volunteer, give them proper food, don't abuse these animals, adopt an animal from an organization or bring them to a shelter. We need to stop the merciless suffering that is occuring so please save these animals.

ARE WE using our resources?

The water at the beach in Kuwait is being polluted with sewage and garbage desposed by our community.
We need to encourage the government to stop this depositing of sewage into the water so that we can take advantage of this resource we have. Kuwait could become a much more wonderful and attractive place if the beaches could be used and clean.
We can clean up the beaches without the help of the government. First we must stop depositing our litter at the beach and not taking care of it. I can speak for the people and say, who wants to swim at a beach where rather than swimming with the fishes they are swimming with the rubbish. Second we must clean up the deposited waste in order to clean up what has already been abandoned to destroy the beauty of Kuwaits beaches.

DRUGS ARE A PRISON

-
Litter:
1.69 billion pounds of cigarette butts end up as waste, blown around by the wind across the ground in Kuwait. Swaying with the wind with no intent to be picked up. This litter is diminishing the beauty of Kuwait and must be removed.
-
Our Health:
Each year more than 700 of the people in Kuwait die by tobacco-caused disease. Every week 13 men and 1 woman in Kuwait die of these diseases. These drugs become addicting and this is leading to all these deaths. The number of deaths will continue to increase with the number of users. Kuwait has quitlines, some cessation services cost-covered and NRT. The excessive drug usage is imprisoning the users and limiting opportunity. Please encourage those you know to stop and if you are a drug user remember these four letters S-T-O-P. Take advantage of the opportunites in Kuwait to preserve yourself and the community.

TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS

After living in Kuwait for quite some time, I recognized that there is a huge struggle to keep people of our community following traffic laws. There are many instances where devestating crashes happen due to the uncontrolled driving of individuals who will happily pay fines if they can get to where they are going on time despite the fact they put so many others at risk. We must restrict ourselves and recognize the importance of our saftey is worth more than making it to your buisness meeting on time. Please consider the following story next time you are about to speed through a red light.
I am friends with a good family of four. Two parents and a young boy and girl. In a devestating car crash on the way to their friends house they were badly hit by a car rushing as they changed lanes to get off the road. The family suffered a severe loss that day. The father and the daughter were both killed in the accident. We must keep the roads safe and stop our dangerous driving. Please keep off your phone while driving, avoid destractions and follow traffic laws.
